Sterling Oak is an 18", `one of a kind` bear, and has been created to celebrate my 25 years of bear making. He is the overseer of all SuziBear Designs, being called Sterling due to the 25 year anniversary being silver, and Oak because the Oak Tree is the King of the Forest. He wears a cloak with long pixie hood with silver bell on the end and bells on the sleeves. His waistcoat is held together with buttons of bind runes, and his crown is handmade incorporating silver oak leaves, acorns and more bells. He carries a handcrafted staff with the rune Os inscribed into it, which is the rune of growth of spiritual and magical powers. He has a bag of Forest gifts over his shoulder, filled with lavender for calming, baytree leaves for protection, and many oghams connected to the Oak tree.

The Wisdom of Oak 
`The oak represents the positive power of Nature and inner strength. It is linked to Herne the Hunter, bringing us nearer to the Spirit of the Earth, teaching us that we can find solutions to our problems when we connect to the Earth for inner guidance.
Go and sit with the Oak when you feel weary of life`s challenges. Oak helps us to let go of responsibilities, brings a renewal of energy and a reconnection to the simple pleasure of life. It warns us about stubborn strength that resists the winds of change and breaks the storm`

Aiken (meaning `oaken`) is a 12inch `one of a kind` bear. I have created him from a tan coloured curl mohair, and made him purple dungarees, with hand knitted stripy pixie hat. The dungarees have rustic bells hanging from their hessian string tie, and the hat has a rustic bell on the end. Aiken also wears a talisman around his neck which has been hand created from Oak, and offers him protection.
His sister Sorcha is also available.

Sorcha (meaning `bright` and pronounced `sor-kah`) is a 12 inch `one of a kind` bear. I have created her from a sparse pale yellow mohair, and made her some brightly coloured dungarees and a colourful hand knitted pixie hat. The dungarees have rustic bells hanging from their hessian string tie, and the pixie hat has brightly coloured bells. She wears a chakra crystal necklace around her neck.

Mervena is a `one of a kind` 18" bear created from a short curl tipped mohair. She wears a handmade pinafore dress with petticoat, and handknitted shawl with rustic bells.

Keegan is a 9inch `one of a kind` bear created from a beautiful green mohair, being created especially for House of Bear`s Green Party in aid of Macmillan nurses. He wears a hand knitted pixie hat with rustic bell on the end.

Dorian (meaning `from the sea`) is a `one of a kind` 9” mohair bear, wearing an antique doll`s sailor hat and collar, with a piece of natural aquamarine terminated crystal sewn into the collar. In ancient times sailors used aquamarine crystal as a talisman to protect them from drowning, and he also holds a piece behind his back, to make doubly sure he will be protected!!

Ellie-May is a `one of a kind` 15inch bear, created from a beautiful 20mm Whirl mohair in pink champagne. She wears an antique child`s dress, which I have tea-stained and patched, and holds her favourite companion, her little cloth doll. She also carries a little piece of fabric with a heart embroidered onto it. She has glass eyes, and is jointed with cotter pin joints and pellet filled.

Wynne (Celtic meaning for `white, fair`), is a `one of a kind` 18” bear, created in a beautiful long curl white mohair. He has been inspired by the snowy weather we have enjoyed over the last few months.

Maite is a 12”, `one of a kind` bear created from a dusky pink long curl mohair. She was created especially for the House of Bear`s Green Party, in aid of Macmillan nurses, and therefore wears a green dress and holds a matching little green bag behind her back ,which carries a rose quartz heart. She has handcrafted wings and tiara integrated with small rose quartz chips and beads.
